据路透社报道，澳大利亚科学家表示，日常饮食中如果缺乏omega-3的话，在遇到困难挫折时更容易伤心难过。
澳大利亚科学家将380个人分成两组进行对比研究，发现：不吃鱼的人一旦遇到困难挫折就很容易退缩沮丧；而爱吃鱼的人面对苦难时，则表现出乐观的情绪。科学家经过深入研究后说，这是因为鱼肉中含有一种叫做“omega-3”的多不饱和脂肪酸，当身体内该物质
含量较低时，人比较容易冲动，对未来的看法更消极，更多地呈现出抑郁症状；反之则表现出积极乐观的态度。
